this was great! the animation is so lively and the character design is great and the story was really cohesive in a way that the graphic novel/webcomic massively lacked. fun time! wish netflix didn't think it needed to have their logo in the corner of the youtube version the entire time, but at least i didn't have to resubscribe to see it!
this was p charming! i liked the animation more than i was expecting since the old peanuts specials are very special (ba dum tss) to me but i actually liked the weird way it straddled 2d and 3d and i was especially fond of all the nighttime lighting. i do think the pop music was jarring and unnecessary, but i get that there's a kid's movie checkmark to hit there, so what can you do.
still funny, still romantic, and were it not for the very of the time point-and-laughs at gender nonconformity it'd be about as perfect as a romcom gets. i remember seeing it in theaters and loving it and watching it plenty since but i can't believe how much funnier the "somebody kill me" scene is than i remembered
this was THE movie of my freshman year of college and it still holds up in exactly the ways it needs to. i've also watched it so many times with the commentary track (remember those!!!! we used to have it so good!!!!!!) that crystal got to suffer through it as though i were a psychic medium through which old media flows. ANYWAY, as i have long said, vince vieluf should've had a bigger career, he should've been huge, and i am so sad thinking of all the comedies he should've carried.
