  in honor of my 10th time watching booksmart (and the fact that i graduated high school earlier today!) i’ve made a comprehensive list of my favorite moments in the film. enjoy. 

  - this is one of my favorite film openings ever. 
  - MAYA RUDOLPH’S VOICEOVER. SO AMAZING. 
  - THE WAY IT CUTS FROM THEM DANCING TO THE MUSIC TO JUST SILENCE.

  my expectations for this were high but holy fuck. it managed to exceed said expectations in literally every way imaginable. while the “daughter gets kidnapped and parent goes crazy trying to get them back” trope has been done many times before i think prisoners just really wins as the best version of that trope. prisoners went in many directions but not in the way where it gives you a headache because it’s confusing, but it just hooks you more and…
