for me this movie is the equivalent of meditating
This Is England had moments that made me feel sad, yet, it also had moments that uplifted me. This is a film that impressively managed to manipulate the better of both sides of my emotions. It’s faithless and depressing in its authenticity, though it remains hopeful and glad throughout.
It's amazing to see these people's stories delivered through a sensitive lens on the skinhead subculture, because it's not a sense of kinship the only part we can see about this subculture, but there's also violence and racism
