One thing I loved about this film is that given it's subject matter it rarely slides into cynicism which genuinely surprised me, there's a lot of hope in this and the ending just cements that for me. This movie shows so much empathy to the strippers it dramatizes and yet I cant help but feel angry because of the behind the scenes treatment to the real strippers. The performances are incredible, the soundtrack os incredible and the emotional arcs hit much harder on second viewing but I cant help but feel a bitter taste in my mouth now I know what went on.
