Zola ★★★★

penning this idea down before it goes away: double feature with ex machina... a line of thought about how they're both 21st century examinations of how sex, power, money, identity/gender politics all intersect in us, human/organic form turned cyborgian, imbibing digitization. also how the commodification of female bodies is continually used as narrative drive. is this the only way to show the powers at play?
