Idk I liked it. It’s absolutely not ground breaking, but it’s pretty, miss pugh eats, and I like the theme even though it’s written superficially.
If you like an everyone-around-this-woman-thinks-she’s-crazy-but-really-she’s-cursed movie, a la Rosemary’s Baby and even Joyce in Stranger Things, Smile is the movie for you.
My expectations of the Blumhousy, Truth or Dare, PG13 Type horror that came from the Snapchat filter looking smile and the catchy name were far exceeded.
It has an indie feel, with a lot of still camera work and two-shots, that make it feel more authentic. Probably, because writer-director, Parker Finn is a festival boy. Only making short…
