Just got done seeing La La Land in the theater! What a wonderful, dazzling little film that we need more of from the studios. The music is phenomenal and Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling are luminous. And they mentioned Boise! Everyone in the theater was laughing as soon as our little town was being used as a punchline, it was very funny. Others have described this film in better words, so I will keep things short.
The only negative I had with La La Land was the ending. Regular readers should know that I am a soppy sentimental person so maybe this is just a knee-jerk reaction but the ending was not satisfying enough to me, otherwise this would have easily been a 5 star film. I might warm up to it later though, but La La Land should best be experienced in a movie theater so get out there if you haven't already!
