Sound of Metal

Sound of Metal ★★★★½

After my Tom & Jerry review, I was requested by a lot of people to watch a film released in the past 2 years that's actually good. So, I decided to watch Sound of Metal as the premise was interesting and it seemed like the kind of film I'd like. Fortunately for me, it was great and I loved it a lot. The sound design was great and used in a really unique and powerful way, and the story was one that was very chilling. I don't think I've seen many films that actually seeks to tell stories about deafness, and this was done in a relatively caring and (I'd assume to be) true way. So yeah, I really liked this. Step aside We Can Be Heroes, Sound of Metal is my new favorite 2020 release!

And as a side note, I don't have anything against new releases. I just get super overwhelmed with the sheer amount of films there are, and I find myself prioritizing classic and older cinema most of the time. Hopefully I'll watch some more new releases.
