I like movies?
During the film, I was all in. Such a fascinating concept, such a clever storytelling motif. Yet, after the film, it feels a bit off. Maybe this is one I'll have to dwell on a bit more to truly get it (most good films are like that).
However, I must say that the beginning, the "cold open", feels truly Anakin and Padme. Maybe that's why the rest feels a bit off.
Watching this with a group of: theater nerds, people who knew every song by heart, people who'd never seen it before, and people who hated the films guts is the most fun experience I've ever had watching a movie. Listening to the commentary (and cracking jokes at everyone's expense) was almost more entertaining than the film itself.
The film itself: it has problems, that's for sure. The singing has its off moments, the closeups get repetitive, but some of the cinematography is beautiful and the sets are astonishing. Plus, it's Les Miserables. If you hate it, you'll become the miserable and it'll be super immersive.
