Good movie but not as good as 'The Shining'.

I'll tell you what makes it a good movie.

The movie had me in suspense, it scared me and engaged me plus it was kind of surreal, there were points which you couldn't tell if they were dreamt, fantasised or if they were the main character's reality.

The thing that annoyed me a tad was the CGI, I'm not anti-CGI but I felt it wasn't needed for this movie. Luckily there…

This movie was addictive, I think I saw it like, five, six times?

Everything was great, the adventures, the action, the humour (that includes Jeff’s character pissing off will’s character. The pie scene when they’re in the midst of some important work was the highlight) the diversity of the aliens’ appearance. Bloody great production values, the aesthetics was fucking great, totally awesome!

I was hooked, I was engaged, one of the best movies I’ve seen.

I know I’m in the minority here, but I think this is better than the original, much better than the original. The original, ‘Ringu’ did nothing for me. The visual effects were good, I’ll give it that but other than that, the original did nothing for me compared to this remake. It scared me, had me in suspense, had me tensed up. I thought it was great.

I often don’t praise a remake, it’s rare. Modern remakes are just cash grabs, they’re unnecessary but not this one.

Quite a full on movie but for all the right reasons. Bloody good movie.

There’s one scene that’s hard to take. If you can get through that, the rest is easy to watch by comparison.

That one scene really shows the horror of this social issue and it really puts you in the victim’s place and makes you sympathise with them.

Interesting twist at the end and being a non-linear movie, the real beginning of the movie makes you think, “This woman hasn’t got the faintest idea of what’s about to happen to her”
The beginning is so serene before the nightmare begins.
