i don’t exactly know how i felt about Elvis, you know, nice trailer now let me see the film??? i just couldn’t BELIEVE my ears when doja cat started blasting as well😭 it’s so long yet nothing that important really happens. the “emotional” scenes are bland and it feels extremely weird cuz throughout the entire thing it just feels as if you’re constantly skipping to the next “best thing”. the storyline is so disconnected and it’s exhausting after some point.…
loved this. it was absolutely wonderful and honestly, sort of creepy until the third act. pta and thom yorke are both incredible artists & i love Dawn Chorus. the choreography was also absolutely gorgeous. the scene where everyone in the metro was doing that dance with their heads that kinda looked like they were trying to stay awake is easily my favourite. the second act was a little underwhelming to me but i still love love the idea. i definitely wouldn’t mind an extended version of this.
this is cinema. this is how you make a film. i can’t even begin to tell you just how much i loved every second of this. matt reeves’ perception of the batman was literally all i needed in life. finally a good fucking approach to batman and the rest of these characters and what the hell man this is just perfection. the lighting, casting, THAT SOUNDTRACK, everything is so good i can’t even. it was worth the wait & i can say that this is definitely the best superhero film i’ve ever seen. congratulations, truly.
