proved myself once again that i’m not the biggest fan of the chinese movie productions although i do keep trying and will keep trying. this was my first Wong Kar-wai experience and i will just simply say that Fallen Angels left me unamused. the camera work (probably my favourite aspect of the film) was excellent and the story surrounding Leon Lai’s character was intriguing and fun, but the rest of the plot was pretty underwhelming (especially Charlie Yeung’s scenes) & disconnected…

this is cinema. this is how you make a film. i can’t even begin to tell you just how much i loved every second of this. matt reeves’ perception of the batman was literally all i needed in life. finally a good fucking approach to batman and the rest of these characters and what the hell man this is just perfection. the lighting, casting, THAT SOUNDTRACK, everything is so good i can’t even. it was worth the wait & i can say that this is definitely the best superhero film i’ve ever seen. congratulations, truly.
