i don’t give a SHIT about the negative reviews this was fun and funny as fuck. love you tom hardy
honestly didn't expect to hold this much adoration and passion for this film. the trailer and the premise, and later the rave reviews got me hyped but this blew all my expectations out of the water.
it's true that the whole time you feel as though you're holding your breath, i was in a constant state of anxiety, you hold the tension in your body that it's physially noticeable afterward when you relax.
little spoken dialogue yet it…
the cinematography, the sets, the costumes - incredible. the music was fabulous and the juxtaposition of that music choice against the dainty, glamorous france in the 18th (?) century worked wonderfully. so unique.
i don't know anything about marie antionette or louis xvi so i can't speak in terms of historical accuracy but i trust miss coppola so i'm taking this as gospel okay. i love marie a. wish i was one of her mistresses, would do anything she wanted and would watch countless sunrises with her.
