    This was a masterwork of show not tell, even from early on. Take the mother’s care in setting the table and the shadow of the murderer, as well as the 
    abandoned balloon and the rolling ball. Or the police report with cut scenes to the office building.

    I was a big fan of the series, but this felt a little too campy, with largely unexplained plot jumps. Kind of like a discount Indiana Jones where a more traditional mystery take would have done better. Decent outfits though, and reasonably satisfying Jack and Phryne dynamics for people who watched the show religiously.

    1. Is this... an extended music video for the Blue Danube waltz?
    2. I understand why Pan Am went out of business if this is how inefficiently they ran their transits. I mean, one passenger at a time? 

    Honestly though, this rewards the technical watcher. Rich in details from magnetic battery packs, to grip shoes to mostly accurate physics and hard shadows, a decadent use of show not tell... at least until those last 20 minutes or…
