Barbenheimer - Part 2
Greta Gerwig takes a colossal swing, and knocks it out of the park so effortlessly. Barbie spins all of the plates you can think of, and yet it manages to balance all of them in a high-wire act, while also being so imaginative and enchanting.
What struck me about this movie is how strong the presence of play is here - Gerwig and Noah Baumbach wrote such a funny, intelligent, and emotionally-layered screenplay that manages toβ¦
Overjoyed and so excited - it's been a few hours since I saw Across The Spider-Verse, but I just cannot stop thinking about this monumental achievement.
Where does one even begin? I knew they were going to deliver, but another watershed moment for animation?! That's two bangers in a row!
It's been a while since a film really left me in a state of constant wonder, where every moment felt like falling deeper and deeper with the art form ofβ¦

In all seriousness, I thinkβ¦

The way the neon blue intrudes upon the Christmas lights - allure, desire, mystery, uncertainty, and intrigue traipsing on and even overtaking life when it becomes too much.
This film is another excellent watch, it's frankly too much to handle back-to-back with The Shining. Nicole Kidman is excellent in the few scenes she's got, and her three final lines just kick so much ass.
Eyes Wide Shut is dense, but the discussion on power, status & money, sex and dynamics inβ¦
