Andrew Wyatt’s review published on Letterboxd :
What Price Laugh Factory? The story -- about a train wreck of a stand-up comedian heading out to L.A. and trying to jump-start her career -- teeters on that razor-thin line between emotionally truthful and unpleasantly lazy. So... a mixed bag. And I still can't tell if Common is a disarmingly smooth actor or a terrible one. Still, there' s a huge draw here and it's called
showing off the range and magnetism that she's always had. However, here she finally has a vehicle where she can command the viewer's full attention and truly shine.
