Tantalisingly horrifying, It dials up the notch on all levels and delivers on a frightening promise. Although at times the connection between scenes was weak, and the plot was sort of a mess, I can forgive these mistakes as the extravagant horror set pieces were gruesomely beautiful. Seeing pennywise contort into different shapes and sizes was great. Also I saw this in 4DX with friends and it's a much better experience when you're all screaming and jumping around.
For the first time ever I want to see more of a horror villain, Bill Skarsgård is absolutely mesmerising as the iconic clown I just hoped we could've delved deeper into the mind of the psychotic child killer..... maybe in the sequel?
