with every rewatch this movie only gets better and more intense . this time i really focused on the score and i realized just how important it is and how eerie it sounds, sometimes it was even creepier then the crazy stuff going on. leo is at his best here the sadness and pain in his eyes is truly heartbreaking all the loss and confusion and suffering can be seen just by looking at his face.
i think that the ending to shutter island is one of the best endings to a movie ever it’s so layered and smart but it also holds a lot of feeling. i’ve been wanting to get back into reading for a while now and i think that reading this book will be a great way to get back into it ! does leo act in the book though asking for a friend
