Imagine putting Pulp Fiction on to watch for the first time, and you had a really long day so you’re forcing yourself to stay awake, but you still keep drifting in-and-out of consciousness, and your dreams are kindve about the scene you were just watching but now they star people in your life with information you absorbed throughout your day, and even in your dream state some of the scenes REALLY click but others feel disjointed and frustrating, but then you realize that’s ok because part of you knows you’re dreaming and that it’s ok to not understand everything in a dream, so eventually instead of just forcing yourself to stay awake you relax and let the ebb & flow of your dreamstate guide you.
This is a really bad review but it’s the first thing I thought of when trying to pitch this movie to my wife.
