  Sat through this one very bedaffled, the near-entirety of the 3 hours spent waiting for something to grip my interest and/or emotions, wondering why the critical acclaim. Now, I know many would argue that maybe my expectations were too influenced by conventional (read: American) cinema, and that in searching for the usual dramaturgical peaks, twists, and resolutions, I am blind-siding the "finesse", the "subtleties" of this piece.   i made this film all throughout lockdown, which makes it a very tenderising experience to re-watch now. there are many things i would do differently now, but i understand why my then-self made those choices, then.
