First rewatch in 10 years or so. It's still superb. Mad Max is like a classic era Eastwood western on wheels, after an apocalypse! So raw and energetic. I love this film. One thing I'd forgotten is just how effective the music by Brian May is, it carries and compliments the film superbly. The cinematography is also top class, all beautiful wide shots of the barren Aussie countryside and spectacular chases. Low budget film-making at its very best.
Brilliant comic book style characters throughout too. What other film has characters with names such as Jim Goose and The Toecutter?! Makes me want to watch MadMax2 again (and forget number 3)
Mad Max is a unique film in many ways.......dreading the remake.
