Mikael Stånggren’s review published on Letterboxd:
Don't you just hate it when a film sets up its story really well, only to devolve into random nonsense? What starts off as a rather compelling adventure, in the derring-doing spirit of Lara Croft and Indiana Jones, loses credibility along the way, seemingly making things up as it goes.
Boasting such an abundant wealth of history, mythology and attention-grabbing exposition, there's a lot of interesting directions that could have been taken here. Not least when set in a location as creepy as the infamous Paris catacombs. But alas, somewhere in the creative process, the screenwriters chose...poorly.
An entertaining piece of urban spelunking nonetheless though. Consistently above boredom. Ever below excellence.
