I NEVER KNEW THERE WAS A POST-CREDIT SCENE UNTIL NOW. Good. Lord.
I can't say I'm surprised, but Chris Stuckmann managed to craft one of the best short films I've ever seen! The cast, as well as casting, is great, especially accounting for the fact that it mostly revolves around two people (who CRUSH it, btw). The cinematography is absolutely FANTASTIC, which includes a long single-take sequence, putting a huge smile on the viewer's face as the heartfelt scene plays out. Better yet, is what the long take is followed by: phenomenally…
Mike Flanagan manages to capture the best of Kubrick and King in this MORE than worthy sequel to The Shining. Ewan McGregor is spectacular as usual, bringing even more talent to a role than ever before, with a beautifully layered character which builds upon the one we've seen from The Shining. This is absolutely one of the best horror films of the decade, and one of the best films this year period. I couldn't recommend it enough.
