Finally got my mum to watch this, and I’m happy to report that she loved it just as much as I do! Taste... confirmed.
Seeing as I’ve never actually logged a review for this on Letterboxd, I’m going to write up a quick one. This movie really touched me from the first time I saw it, they really nailed the heart wrenching nature of the story and both Chalamet and Hammer are perfect in their respective roles. This was my favourite film of 2017, and it is still firmly placed in my top 10 films ever. It’s one of the most beautiful stories I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing, despite the aforementioned heart wrenching quality it holds. I always cry at Mr. Perlman’s monologue to Elio, and the entire film is impeccably shot, but that final shot is perfection. I could rave for a lot longer about how much I love Call Me By Your Name, but I’ll keep it short and sweet, and just leave it at that.
