Atlanta based Film Ventures International was an independent film production and distribution company who gained a notorious reputation for producing films which were total ripoffs of whatever blockbuster was big. They also imported plenty of awesome foreign films, particularly Italian and Japanese efforts. Just when it looked like they were going to go out of business, their owner Edward L. Montoro -- who had already been sued for stealing most of the profits from Grizzly -- took the money and ran, never to be seen again. This list celebrates the magic that they bestowed upon dive-ins and grindhouses throughout the 70's and early 80s.
