A Quiet Place is a horror/thriller that deftly balances tension with emotion. With the familiar post-apocalyptic landscapes and backdrops, it's the minimalistic quality that makes this film stand out over other horrors. Reminiscent to Signs in many ways with its clear message regarding family and consequence despite it's notable flaws. With all this in mind, AQP is the most humane and emotive horror film I have ever seen.
