Shadow of Fire 2023
In the same milieu as Godzilla Minus One and Seijun Suzuki's Gates of Flesh but with a far bleaker take on the post-war trauma and found family than even Suzuki's film. Also recalling The Emperor's Naked Army Marches On with its depiction of survivor's guilt and rage. A heavy work.
