From now on my goto Christmas-movie.
If I had to describe this film in one word, I would pick human.
Frances as a character stands for everything humans normally are. They are imperfect, they fail, they make mistakes and they have bad times. What Noah Baumbach and Greta Gerwig made with these traits is what is the most fascinating to me. They are not just creating a relatable character but also use that character to subtlely act like a role model. Frances does not give up,…
Shit... I am blown away.
After watching „Annihilation“ and really liking it, I got more and more interested in Writer and Director Alex Garland.
And you see that he has experience with writing, because this screenplay is f*cking incredible. Many turns towards the ending, but not in an annoying way at all. And the overall idea and the questions asked by the script to the audience are brilliant.
I have to mention the cinematography. It is brilliant. Wonderful pictures and camera angles.
Domhnall Gleeson, Alicia Vikander and Oscar Isaac. Do I have to say more about the cast?
