I feel like Jonathan Glazer must have used this as a precursor to Under The Skin in some strange way, lol. Of course, one of the big differences is director Jess Franco shooting a million shot's of a shaved vagina. Said vagina is also deadly in this movie. It belongs to Lina Romay, and she is fearless in this role. This is very voyeuristic, which is common for Franco, and almost borders on porn. The dialogue is bad, but somehow…

First off, Amy Adams and the rest of the actors, in their limited roles, are very good in this. But, and it's a big but, the movie isn't very good. Hallucinatory. Hypnotic. Mesmerizing. Weird. Beautiful. Bloody Brutal....and Absofuckinglutely Incredible! Nicolas Cage at his best. Panos Cosmatos increasingly proving his brilliance.
I normally don't gush over movies right after I've seen them, because I like them to ruminate for awhile. This, however, hit me like a lead pipe to the face! I was expecting to like this, but not for it to blow me away. I literally found my mouth hanging open several times in the second half of this film,…
