Kelly Kapowski’s review published on Letterboxd:
One of the most disarmingly funny and charming of the Coen Brothers' films, featuring a broadly funny comic turn from a silver-tongued George Clooney.
The framing of actors' faces in this film borders on the Felliniesque. Closeups of Stephen Root, Charles Durning, Johns Turturro and Goodman (and most of the rest of the cast, tbh) render them as near grotesques!
It sings along at a quick pace and only rarely hits a wrong note, as with George Nelson (the Coens love to include random and pointless acts of cruelty to animals, and OBWAT is no exception).
