Adult Life Skills ★★★½

Really quite good. Funny, emotional, almost on a par with Burn Burn Burn for it's ability to be both at the same time, but Jodie Whittaker is much broader with her comedy than Chloe Pirrie. Very interesting addition to the 52 By Women challenge as Rachel Tunnard has written and directed a film that features 2.5 male characters of any significance including the de rigueur cute child and one of those is dead and the other is essentially what you get if you transpose the ridiculous manic pixie dream girl tropes on to a male character - a guy that surely no woman in her right mind would want to date, the guy I think of when I hear that women I know/knew say things like "well he was sort of nice to me so I settled, you can't always have exciting, heart pounding connections with people."
