Pan's Labyrinth

Pan's Labyrinth ★★★★½

“You are not born of man. It was the moon that bore you.”

Buried beneath the wet soil, deep within the trenches of the Earth, lies a world meant for the less fortunate. For those who dare to dream, those whose imagination flees its cage and spreads its wings to soar amidst the cotton clouds above. Upon the grounds above they spill blood, feeding not the herbs and the shrub, but their hunger for carnage and utter dominance. It's within the wicked outbursts, that a glimpse of hope flickers against the ruthless winds. Hardly alive but battling the blackness, withstanding the fires of the war.

He calls out, the one whose name only the trees and mountains can pronounce. Beckoning the adventurous souls, in need of freedom and a sweet escape. Far and away from the gruesome reality that awaits just beyond the ruins of the labyrinth.
