Heat warming. The female lead reminds me of the daughter in War and Peace. It's the kind of movie you feel genuine love for the characters and families. The deep focus technique was used for scenes like the wedding social scene and the telephone calling scene
Apparently I'm not that into old comedies. Bringing up baby was amusing but not funny. This was the same. I liked Greta Garbo in it, I read about her reclusive nature and how she would walk 11 miles a day in New York. That is a life I would like, walking and photographing. Being rich on a floor apartment all to myself, haha. That's why I want to be rich enough to not have friends and not do anything except photograph paint make stopmotion movies and watch movies
The Purge meets Meet the Fockers meets a Quentin Tarantinot bloodbath.
The acting was tough. The story was original and kept me interested. I so wish the backstory would have been more believable. I had questions and it didnt 100% make sense and I was thinking about that instead of the story. The acting as also distracting. The lead was great but everyone else was not. The family should have been more evil and competent. The father was sort of hysterical and didn't seem like the leader of a successful company. The dude googling how to shoot a crossbow was hilarious.
