Part 2/? of SNOWED IN
This is the movie that inspired Gilliam's 12 Monkeys. It's a short film (about 30 minutes) and it's composed almost exclusively of still images and narration.
It's a story about a post-apocalyptic society that sends people through time in order to find a solution to the dire consequences of the fallout of World War Three. Smaller in scope than 12 Monkeys, but definitely just as intriguing.
It's a masterclass in editing and atmosphere and I highly recommend it to fans of science fiction and/or time travel stories. I really liked the English narration of it (even though it is a French movie) which is available on Vimeo if you just google it.
