dear mr. walter sobchak, kindly shut the fuck up
this was super funny and a pretty good time, but holy shit walter annoyed the fuck out of me. i would’ve liked it so much more if he wasn’t as established in the story. love the other characters, they were very comically interesting, but walter made me roll my eyes every time he was on screen.... someone help me understand why
definitely plan to rewatch as i’ve heard this gets better with time!
why did i do this to myself like i needed to be even sadder about not getting to experience the Last Party before Everyone Leaves for College at which i confess to the guy i like, get rejected, and cry in the car on the way home
Olivia Wilde really fuckin did that. such a simple story, but her direction was so full of heart that the scenes became sensual, memorable ones to get lost in when you watch and then rewatch them.
lastly, Billie Lourd. that’s it ✨
i feel like yorgos lanthimos was that kid at school whose group mates would whisper “fuck” upon finding out they have to work together because his ideas were always so... fucking weird but the english teacher always loved them
this was amusingly funny and well-acted but it lacked something. it just didn’t get me, but yorgos’s creative genius still popped off 🤩
also someone told me they saw the ending and thought, “bea would like this” and idk how to feel about dat
