    Last Tango in Paris

    ★★

    5th Annual Letterboxd Season Challenge
Week 9: ASC 100 Milestone Films

I recall being a young teenager and catching advertisements for showings of this movie. The voice-over always made it sound dangerous. I never got to watch it until now, 20-odd years later, where I find scenes which I could genuinely have written as something I imagined as shocking a few years after those advertisements. Ford v Ferrari

    ★★★★½

Masterful old-school and modern aspects of filmmaking perfectly mixed for a classic theatre-going experience. 5th Annual Letterboxd Season Challenge
    Week 8: Horrors Crossing Borders

When it's 20 minutes in and revenge is already being executed... where do you go from there? Further and deeper into Choi Min-sik's madness. A ride full of thrills that flies by the remaining two hours, bookended perfectly by Kim Jee-woon. We all see the Devil walk past or by sometimes, but what if he walks inside? Sometimes the front door is just open.
