Today's double feature theme is early Kubrick. I bought the Criterion blu-ray of The Killing this week (yay 50% off sale) and was psyched to see it had the entirety of Killer's Kiss in its supplements. Yes, the film is flawed with cliches but it's amazing to see the clear potential Kubrick had then and later cultivated. I really enjoyed it and debated giving it 4/5 but decided there are too many flaws for it to be rated that highly. But even with its imperfections, I was never taken out of the film. Now I'm off to see The Killing!
