While I'm not the biggest fan of large ensemble comedies from the era because it means less character development and makes it challenging to (re)familiarize myself with Old Hollywood actresses, all of the leading women here are perfectly cast, with Billie Burke and Jean Harlow effortlessly stealing the show whenever they're onscreen.

The suicide plot also kinda took me by surprise, and I'm still figuring out whether or not it even fit the tone lmao dsufhusfdhhud
