    GHIBLI #9
Holy shit this film is fucking amazing ❤️❤️❤️
So happy I waited this long, cause this really is a special one, the magnum opus. It exists in its very own world, so detached from the rest of Miyazaki’s filmography, yet still so closely connected. It’s wild, it’s vivid, it’s such a trip. I have never seen anything like Spirited Away

This journey has honestly been incredible. From having never seen a Ghibli film a few weeks ago to…

One of those nights … I am fully convinced that there will never be a film as perfect as Her. Every viewing of this is different for me, and a lot of it comes down to my mood when watching. The two hours of runtime may feel like torture, so endlessly relatable in many ways, but hard to get through. That was how it felt tonight.

Pretty much what I expected. Lots of music, concert clips etc. Showing Jonatans rise to fame, his personal downfall(s) and how he is now back on top. Was a great throwback and I loved vibing to the music.
It’s a very predictable documentary, though, and if you’re a big fan of Lean, you will probably know about everything already. Didn’t offer too much in terms of new or untold stories. Editing was sorta amateurish and all over the place, but…
