    The Oblong Box

Has nothing to do with the Edgar Allen Poe story other than it uses the same idea of not knowing the exact identity of someone in a coffin or box. Supremely entertaining combination of 80s action movie cliches, deliberate comedy that works, deliberate comedy that fails so horribly you're not even sure what's happening, really funny bad acting, actors stumbling over hilarious awkward dialogue, and actually very decent action scenes.  When it's not busy being hilariously stupid the pacing is well done and keeps everything moving right along.  The soundtrack is way 80s and definitely has its moments (sounds like a Yamaha DX7).

So this time around it seems like they are trying to shed a lot of the Bond movie formula and make something more like a typical action movie. I don't know if the movie has just aged horribly or what, but outside of the limited appearance of the usual "Bond stuff" (MI-6, secret hideouts, actually being a spy) the movie is incredibly mediocre and dull. Christopher Lee appears as the villain but don't get your hopes up, he's really not…
