Ben McDonald’s review published on Letterboxd:
Without a doubt the best film of 2018, and a modern masterpiece from Lee Chang-dong.
Burning's articulation of generational malaise grips you from its first moments all the way till its final, inevitable outburst of ugly rage. Even on a second watch, I found myself lost in a trance, staring at its mysteries as if gazing into the calm, insistent crackle of a fire.
I can't wait to own this so I can watch it on repeat.
