Ben Nash’s review published on Letterboxd:
The first post-9/11 anti-Heimatfilm. Expertly manipulating traditionalist, conservative aesthetics, revealing the ugly paranoia at the heart of America in the wake of the September 11th Attacks. Examining the mechanisms by which fear is weaponised and individuals pacified, establishing a thematic trajectory leading all the way to Glass. We didn’t outgrow Shyamalan, Shyamalan outgrew us.
