Saw a tweet a few days ago about how this film came out 32 years ago to the day so I felt it was about time I finally sat down and watched it, it will also be my 150th logged film this year so what more of a reason to watch it, and what a movie to be #150!

Unsurprisingly, this movie was a masterpiece and I’m glad I can say I’ve now experienced it. This…

Beautiful gastronomic cinematography combined with understandable chemistry between the two leads who compliment each other perfectly; the muted scenes allowed for the food preparation to be on centre stage which in turn complimented the story also. While fairly simple, and dragging at points, I did enjoy this one.

    OPPENHEIMER:

I’ll be honest I went into this one with some reservations; I’m not the biggest Nolan fan, and I feel the only one of his films I saw at the cinema was The Dark Knight Rises (11 years ago yesterday!). There’s your Tenets (haven’t seen), Inception, and Interstellar that are all (I assume) best seen on a big screen- maybe this was where my reservations came from?
I also left it way too late to book tickets so…

Finally got round to watching Top Gun: Maverick and it can be described in only word; Incredible. Tom Cruise has done it again. After more than 30 years of service as one of the Navy's top aviators, Pete "Maverick" Mitchell is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him. Training a detachment of graduates for a special assignment, Maverick must confront…
