“All life is a game of luck”

A marvel in special effects and a masterpiece in filmmaking.

Titanic is a Romeo and Juliet style tale about forbidden love and courage in the face of disaster that triumphs as a true cinematic masterpiece. It is one of the most epic spectacles in the history of cinema. Titanic at the time of its release was one of, if not, the most expensive film of all time, while also becoming the most successful film of…

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

This is a review for the SHOW not the movie.

Figured why not because some tv shows are on Letterboxd.

Star Wars The Clone Wars the T.V. Series is a masterpiece in storytelling. The whole prequel story is tragic and heartbreaking. The way The Clone Wars ties everything together and how we get different perspectives of everything that happened is perfect. Not only are the characters some of my favorite throughout all of Star Wars, but it…

Heartfelt rom-com with some good messages and a few good laughs.

I liked this film. I went into it only knowing that it was about Seth Rogen getting a girl pregnant. It’s exactly what I expected it to be. Jonah Hill got the most laughs out of me. But all of Seth Rogens friends in the film were funny.
Overall, Knocked Up is a pretty good film. It was solid. I laughed and I cared about…

He’s basically just trying to find a sugar momma.

The more Dustin Hoffman I watch the more he becomes one of my favorite actors.

I really liked the opening scene. Everybody’s Talking is such a great song and perfectly matches with the tone and atmosphere that the film creates for itself. The scenes with Joe Buck walking with the soundtrack playing gave me Easy Rider vibes. As well as some of the psychedelic imagery and editing seen throughout…

    The Texas Chain Saw Massacre

Probably one of the best slasher films ever made.

It’s gritty and disturbing, but I really liked the style and aesthetic it is filmed in. The film feels very real, like your watching real events. From the opening title scroll you know exactly what you’re about to get yourself into. There’s a very creepy opening scene as well as a weird scene with a hitchhiker which definitely sets the tone for the rest of the film. I would…

the sexiest camera pan  I’ve probably ever seen

Some of the most beautiful shots I’ve ever seen in film. The cinematography, color work, and framing are all put together so well. Almost every single shot was symmetrical and everything was so well placed with nothing not having a reason for why it’s in the shot. The entire mise-en-scene from costumes and production design to the framing, lighting and colors are all woven together seamlessly with the story and it’s aesthetic. I…
