CODA 2021
Sian Heder’s script could use some refinement because it occasionally goes to some convenient (and sometimes hokey) places, but the real standout is the performance by Emilia Jones. One of the best of the year, from an actor or actress. It’s also one of the funniest films of the year - something I was not expecting! Really looking forward to what both women do next.
