A tenderness that is so rarely shown in films breathes through every performance, word, note, photograph and silence of MOONLIGHT. The synchronization of the three actors playing Chiron--Alex Hibbert, Ashton Sanders and Trevante Rhodes-- as well as of those playing Kevin--Jaden Piner, Jharrel Jerome and Andre Holland--is impeccably directed and the supporting performances by Harris, Ali and Monae round out an outstanding ensemble that will go down in history as one of the best ever.

What Jenkins and team have given us here is nothing short of astounding.

    Finding Dory

One of those animated movies made only for children which you're constantly aware of because it feels compelled to explain itself at every turn, ruining each tender moment it gets so close to. And this is fine (I guess) if only it didn't arrive a year after INSIDE OUT, a film of a wholly different confidence and maturity.

Absolutely incredible work by everyone involved. I'm particularly inspired by Lachman's play on interiors & exteriors with his cinematography--the window as a symbol of this is especially effective.

Mara gives some of her best work to date, while Blanchett adds another solid performance to her filmography.

Haynes have given us an incredible piece of work about the value of living a life true to one's spirit.

A sci-fi Romeo & Juliet I didn't know I longed for with likenesses to HER, EX MACHINA and THE LOBSTER.

Simultaneously heartbreaking and heartwarming, this is a completely sensual film, engaging you on so many levels that your heart swells to the point of feeling as if love itself is your sixth sense.

Kristen Stewart continues on her path to becoming the breakout star of 2016 and Nicholas Hoult is as ravishing as ever, quietly one of the best younger actors on the scene.
