If you’re in the mood, it’s pretty entertaining. Badham does a great job of pumping oblong 90s energy into a very dumbed-down, one dimensional screenplay. That said I love the immediacy of movies like this overall. This was a 90s thing in movies, sometimes the thing upon which an entire movie was constructed (like this one): What does “normal” person do when “crazy thing” is thrown in their lap? Then it plays almost in real time. Like Speed... Walken practically (literally) dances/sashays his way through this movie, and why not? He brings a personal touch to something that should be totally boring. If you go with it, and let ALL the logic go, it moves fast and it’s pretty fun.
