Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)

This film was EVERYTHING I needed it to be and more. From the cast, the soundtrack, the direction, the story, the outfits, that damn confetti weapon, absolutely everything in this film is *chef’s kiss*.

The difference in the portrayal of Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad to this feature is astounding, and the main stand out for me. Suicide Squad is directly with a man’s perspective in mind (of course, written, produced and directed by men - shock!). Yes, Margot Robbie’s beauty…

    The Farewell

A really moving and insightful film that I enjoyed tremendously. I love learning about other cultures, and this film is a great educational tool. The story is simple and something we will all encounter through life, yet brings a sense of uniqueness unlike anything else. It’s really wonderfully written and there’s some really beautiful shots and symbolism throughout that made it even more endearing.

Awkwafina shines bright in this one, and you cannot help but fall in love with Nai Nai. This is one to watch, and I guarantee you’ll enjoy it.

    *WARNING: spoilers ahead*
No matter what heartache you go through, there’s no escape. This film depicts the efforts a human would go to to fix a broken heart, and the impossibility of it.

We follow Joel (Jim Carey), a sullen and shabby guy as he experiences the aftermath of a break up with eccentric and exciting Clementine (Kate Winslet). While this may seem like basic and boring stuff, a twist in its plot shows us that this film is anything…

    John Wick

Some absolutely banging tunes in this one. Hyped to see how the others pan out after enjoying this one so much. Keanu Reeves deserves the love of the whole universe he’s a gem.

Can we just make a new law called ‘The John Wick’ which allows animal abusers to be murdered in the same fashion as this film?
