Not my favourite Hitchcock film but I find that with each viewing I actually enjoy it more and appreciate it for how smart it is. I suppose movies like Knives Out wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for films like that that did it earlier and better. Rope also uses a similar concept, very stage-play-esque, very self-contained and low key, made great by excellent acting and direction.
