I’m The Only Juan’s review published on Letterboxd:
“I am not the Zodiac. And if I were, I certainly wouldn't tell you.”
I’m in love with a Fincher *Cue I’m in love with a stripper*
Seriously! I was worried since it was based on real life, I thought it was going to be more restricted and not feel like a Fincher film. But man does he not hold back, he stills delivers, I can even compare it with his similar film SE7EN and say that their equally as good for their own reasons. In this film we get the story from the eyes of three protagonists, obviously we see the murders, etc. But these three protagonists are inter connected and different stories. Well RDJ’s character isn’t that much of a protagonist, but Mark Ruffalo and Jake Gyllenhaal’s characters we spend most of our time.
It’s interesting how something that happened in real life and we know about the infamous Zodiac, can still leave you in the edge of your seat. Masterfully done, and an excellent film.
