  • Thief

“I wear $150 slacks, I wear silk shirts, I wear $800 suits, I wear a gold watch, I wear a perfect, D-flawless three carat ring. I change cars like other guys change their fucking shoes. I'm a thief. I've been in prison, all right?”

Michael Mann gets professional criminals, no robbers that steal and get caught easily, but Pros that get the job done. Most importantly he gets the human side of them, in Thief he knocks it out of…

  • Bamboozled

An angry satyrical Dramedy, with subtlety thrown out the window, about the racism that is deeply embedded in pop culture. Explored through a TV Show that claims is “Satire” so it must be okay to have stereotypes, blackface, etc. Spike Lee isn’t kind to anything or anyone mentioned in this film, everyone gets to the chopping block, it’s impossible for someone to strictly find this film “okay”, you either like it or hate the picture. And I’m all about Spike Lee making a film basically, about America.

  • Rashomon

After and adoring seeing Seven Samurai, thought I had Akira Kurosawa all figured out, not only a magnificent filmmaker but I had him pegged for one way of storytelling, though after Rashomon I was sorely wrong. I love that both films use same actors and have Samurai in them, and that’s it. A film that has a lot more going on than it meets the eye, very surprised on how the film turned out. It’s use of flashbacks, narration, camera…

  • Parasite

Mom & Dad loved it! The flavor, the TASTE!

  • Raging Bull

    Raging Bull

Might be the best boxing film ever made though Rocky IV is the Runner up, and I won’t hear any excuses!

  • Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy

  • Skyfall

Yeah this movie is amazing and everything, but you know what makes it amazing? M is the Bond Girl, prove me wrong and I’ll call you sexist... or Ageist?

  • The Wolf of Wall Street

    The Wolf of Wall Street

I really feel sorry for the people that don’t like this movie, they really must be downers at parties.

  • The Last Temptation of Christ

    The Last Temptation of Christ

A film that is welcoming, when it comes to so many Christian movies that are overwhelmingly bad, a refreshing take on Christ as a human is so innovative and ahead of it’s time, the facts that many religious people where taken a back by it is surprising. How they react to a fictitious version of the story is saddening when it compliments my interpretation when I think of Jesus Christ, there is a part man in there that people tend…

  • A Hidden Life

    A Hidden Life

I remember being so hyped for this movie,I hadn’t seen any Malick film but this looked so good, had decided to watch his whole filmography in anticipation for this feature, now I’ve finally watched it and I’m so happy. Malick’s approach to this film feels like a combination of his early and late work, since the storytelling is more conventional, but still have more of the same editing of Tree of Life, Knight of Cups, etc. it truly amazes me.…

  • Manhunter

The “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida” needle drop is an all-timer.

  • Face/Off

Bruh, this film from start to finish is such a batshit melodramatic hyped up reality that’s just basically everything turned up to 11, I wanted to rewatch it all over again when the credits rolled. I don’t think a movie like this would be done today, it’s so dated yet that’s part of its charm, overacting that one accepts and insane situations that I honestly feel the writers did coke during the screenplay process and I thank them. And John Woo, I’ve only seen 2 films of his now MI:2 and this one, there is an action God and his name is John Woo.
